Language is our connection to our community and the world. The ability to communicate in multiple languages provides a unique opportunity to gain access to other people and cultures. The study of a world language is an integral part of a student’s educational experience and will prepare them to be productive members of our global society. At Long Island City High School, we offer every student the opportunity to study one or more of the languages listed above. Furthermore, we offer Native Language Arts and Heritage classes in Spanish at all levels.
